Now is a time to celebrate God’s faithfulness to New Spring Church!
Over the past five years, our church family has persevered through a long pastoral search, a global pandemic, the relocation of the C&MA National Office to Ohio (along with many of our loved ones), and the long process of selling our long-time facility and moving to a new home on Maizeland Road.
November 30th marks both the close of five years of transition and the opportunity for us to move FORWARD to the greater things God has for us in 2024 and beyond.
Here’s a snapshot of where we are today:

The relocation reduces our debt from just over $2M to ~$1.25M while gaining 50% more usable space for ministry.
Our average attendance has grown 21% year over year since we began worshipping on Maizeland Road, with a number of our new neighbors connecting into our church family.
We’ve been able to multiply our dedicated environments for children & students, and have seen these ministries grow across the year.
We’ve shared more opportunities for fellowship & spiritual formation for our congregation using our newly available space—including the relaunch of New Spring Women, Emotionally Healthy Discipleship, and more.
We’ve seen more and more people serving week to week, as well as a large portion of our congregation showing up to help us on facility projects, preparing classrooms, landscaping, etc.
We experienced an unprecedented year of global mission engagement, with eight Sundays featuring our global partners and spotlighting Alliance Missions. We’ve continued to see strong participation in our Great Commission Fund support.
We have seen over and over again the generosity of our church family as we’ve responded to the challenges of the prolonged sale of our Chapel Hills property. THANK YOU!

The past 18 months of unexpectedly carrying two mortgages have depleted our reserves.
The shift in the real estate market over the past year means that—while we were still able to pay down significant debt—we will not have additional cash available to invest in new ministry or improve our facility as we originally anticipated.
Due to these two factors, we no longer have the ability to supplement our budget with reserves if giving starts slow in 2024. Our 2024 budget is fully dependent on the ongoing, consistent support of our congregation.

Invest
We invite every person who calls New Spring Church home to make a one-time, year-end gift—over and above your normal giving—to help us start strong in 2024 with increased ministry impact.

How will your year-end gift help us move FORWARD in 2024?
By making a one-time, year-end gift to our general ministry fund through the FORWARD campaign, you can help us say YES to key ministry priorities from the start of the year.

We are launching the Alpha course to increase Gospel fluency and create space for new and not-yet believers to be curious about Jesus. (Winter / Spring 2024)
We desire to create multiple events & initiatives throughout the year to reach, serve, and bless our neighbors from our Maizeland location (block parties, free oil changes, family movie nights, etc.)
We want to equip and empower every member of New Spring Church to bless their neighbors, starting with a Front Yard Mission campaign in Summer 2024.

We are excited for the return of VBX, an incredible opportunity to share the love of Christ with children and reach more families in our midst. (Summer 2024)
We want to continue refreshing family ministry spaces and resources in 2024. While we were able to paint rooms during our move-in, there are several other updates we’d like to do to finish making engaging spaces for youth and children’s ministry.
Additional resources help us to ensure retreats and other special events are accessible for all students.

We will start new partnership support for the Walls in the Dominican Republic, and continue blessing our FIVE existing global partners.
We are planning a short-term trip to ENVISION Miami (Summer 2024) and a vision trip to Mongolia with Mark & Cinda Wood. Additional resources help offset expenses for participants.
We want to continue increasing our Great Commission Support year over year because of our strong commitment to partner in Alliance Missions.

We want to replenish the funds used for facility improvements over the past year so we can be proactive in addressing issues that arise in our facility.
We have several underdeveloped spaces in our Ministry House that we’d love to get ready as new ministry environments.
We need to replace some outdated or malfunctioning technology in our sanctuary and several classrooms to help ministry run smoothly (especially on Sundays.)

We will have a time to receive pledge cards during our December 17 gathering, but you are welcome to use the digital form to submit your pledge as the Lord leads you.

Every time you give to New Spring Church, you partner with the church’s mission of becoming the faithful presence of Christ in Colorado Springs through gathering, growing, giving, and going together. This year, we’ve been able to increase healthy ministry around the areas of GATHER and GROW, helping our congregation worship more deeply, share in life-giving relationships, and learn as disciples. In the next year, it’s our desire to increase opportunities to live out our calling to GIVE and GO as a church family.
As we move FORWARD as a church, we can move beyond an inward emphasis on growing mature disciples to a renewed outward and forward focus to see increased Kingdom impact now and in the future.

In 2023, our average, regular giving has been roughly $42,000 monthly. A budget built upon this level of funding in 2024:

With a little more consistency in giving, we could easily reach an average of $46,000 in monthly giving. A budget built on this level of funding:

Begins to rebuild reserves and facility funds to address needed updates to our Maizeland campus
